But it doesn’t have the lantern man and all the black and white scenes are color tinted! Scenes inside the opera house are tinted yellow, and scenes in the cellars are tinted blue or violet.

I’ve seen a few silent films where you see different takes in different versions. I have a VHS and DVD of Dr Mabuse the Gambler; the latter is hours longer but also many of the same shots are clearly sourced from different takes, so great to see the side-by-side comparison here. I’ll have to give Phantom a watch, looks like a great film!
