You do a lot of Hacks and What Not and AM2R is really good. I personally like a little better, because when you play Metroid: Zero Mission, AM2R, Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion in a row you get the complete Metroid Story arc. All those games tell their story ingame, so you don’t need to consult the manual. Their visual style and overall quality are consistent with one another and superb. Samus Returns has all those benefits as well of course, but it feels oddly out of place with its 2.5d graphics. And AM2R doesn’t pretend like the Metroid Prime Trilogy never happened, which is nice. I don’t like canon, not canon discussions very much.
