I’m not fond of Brutal Doom. It lays the fanservice on so thick that it’s not really recognizable as Doom. I stick to jDoom with the HD packs that keeps the gameplay much the same as real Doom (aside from mouselook and optional jumping) and brings it up to Quake-level visuals.

It was full of sound bites like Apone screaming “check those corners!” With all new levels, for course, it was a lot of fun.
