Uhh…Torture porn isn’t a genre per se, but rather a disparaging description. Shit like Hostel and Human Centipede fall into this.

Movies like this are a collection of scenes depicting gratuitous and brutal violence and mutilation connected by the barest, most paper thin excuse of a plot possible.

David Cronenberg is ashamed that movies like this are lumped into the “body horror” genre.

Torture p­­o­r­­n is not even a genre. Hostel is HORROR. It does concentrate on gore but there are many kinds of horror.
