Football meets caveman games in the medieval times – good times.

Couldn’t imagine taking a long road trip with him. I bet his guardians were alcoholics.

Back then I liked sports games as it was fun to play and a fun two player game. It wasn’t so detailed and you don’t need to know much to play it. Now sports games are so much detail and depth that it can get boring to those not really into the sport. I used to like the football games like Tecmo Bowl, 10 Yard Fight and Super Play Action Football. I like for baseball games Baseball Stars, Bases Loaded, Little League Baseball, Nolan Ryan’s Baseball and Ken Griffey Major League Baseball. Best times playing those game.

Goalies leave the net all the time. There have been times when goalies have skated across the rink to fight each other. Look up Ron Hextal fighting on Youtube.

Yes, but they do leave the net a few times per game. Mostly to receive the puck when it is cleared by the other time during a power play. Plus when James was talking about it, it was when the puck was like 2 feet from the goalie with no one really around him. In a real game the goalie would go for it to ice the puck.

Meaning, the net, and the area behind it. I’ll stop now. 🙂

BTW… the goalie can leave the net, but it’s not wise for him to do so, seeing as it leaves his his net exposed. There’s really only two ways a goalie leaves his net: 1) to retrieve the puck for his teammates 2) So that his team can bring on an extra attacker. You almost never see 1) happen these days, because they created a trapezoid behind the net. The goalie isn’t allowed to touch the puck anywhere else outside of it.

I LOVED this game as a kid. Absolutely loved it! I loved the fast paced action, the fights,(yes, the fights)! And even that little shooter game that Doug was playing. Always loved that one. Didn’t care for the other mid-period video they had, which I think was a polar bear, or something.

Anyway, I liked it a lot better than Ice Hockey. The controls were easier, it was easier to get into fights(it seemed like you had to practically pull the other guy’s leg off to start a scrap. Though I must admit, it was funny to see all the players rushing over to join in)!

Over all, it was a fun experience. BTW, that “whistling” sound the fans make, was also the crowd sound effect used in Track and Field II. Speaking of which… that one would make a great vid! The controls for some the events were awful!
