I remember hearing them from the one marathon they had of some old school tokusatsu movies, notably Gojira (1954), Rodan (1956), and Mothra (1961). Definitely try and watch them when I get the chance.

I used to watch it religiously in the late 1990s-early 2000s with all the old trailers, promos, etc.

I used to work in a nursing home and this and CMT (I live in TX) were all that would play in their rooms. Rarely would i see any of the residents watch any other channel.

I would cancel my cable if it wasn’t for TCM. This is the only channel where you could find something great to watch for most of the day. It needs to get more attention than the horseshit that’s in theaters today.

The irony is that when I had TCM I was still a kid and hated it because to me all it showed was just boring old B/W films. And now that I’m older and want to watch those same films out of respect and love for cinema I can’t. Life sure sucks sometimes.

Cartoon roots looks like something I’ll have to try out.
