I’m sure you’ve read this by now- but the reason why Rob Zombie took the subtle killing and showed how over the top brutal was, as he says “Violence isn’t supposed to look fun. It’s not supposed to be entertaining.”

Also,do you think the misplaced music is relative or in a way- a nod- to say, Cannibal Holocaust movies lol? Probably not. But that’s what cames to mind.

John Carpenter is genius and I appreciate the backstory and film process but I just got bored. Jamie Lee Curtis was great, Dr. Loomis is a great character…but it never was that special to me. I did however like the Zombie remakes. And normally I think remakes are terrible wastes of time. It kind of explored Mike’s growing up more, and how he went from child to child murderer…and the relationship between Mcdowell and Meyers was more established then in prior films. You can see why Loomis takes this quest to destroy or stop him so far and so personally. In the prior films, I didn’t feel like they got around to that. Perhaps I should rewatch them but…Zombie made good work here. Seems like he knows the craft very well.

I’ve been watching ya since The Karate Kid video game review and you have always been someone I agree with, and relate to even further. Keep it up James and Mike.

And your post just proved that you understand the character of Michael Myers more than Rob Zombie ever has.
